This week will be a quieter week as we gear up for the book fair on Saturday and read-a-thon the following week!

Read-a-thon Costumes: In celebration of Read-a-thon, students are welcome to dress-up at a storybook character or a historical figure. Please have your child return their costume proposal.

Writing: Our copy work and narration exercises come from Peter Rabbit.
Grammar: We will review verbs this week and practice sorting nouns and verbs.
Math: We are now moving on to two-digit numbers! Students will build on from ten to make two-digit numbers 11-20. We will have a test on Friday.
Literature: This week we will read the next 2 chapters of Frog and Toad are Friends. Students will respond to comprehension questions and compare the two friends from the story.
History: This week in in History we will be finishing our Ancient Egyptian chapter. There will be a bingo review on Wednesday, and the test on Friday. A review sheet will be sent home on Wednesday.
Science: We will begin to study oceans this week! The class will complete an experiment to see which objects sink and float in fresh and salt water. We will also demonstrate how currents move through the ocean.
